The quality and standing of any village are judged on the number of cafe bars, so Vrbanj has a good reputation! Only a few kilometres away is the vehicle Ferry port at Stari Grad, operated by Jadrolinija. There are many crossings to Split daily, and in summer the service is extensive including a night crossing. Also, Jadrolinija operates a daily catamaran service from Jelsa to Split via Bol on the island of Brac.
